Here’s a quick and easy upgrade if you’re looking for a project to keep busy during Winter. There’s an old saying that on cars, one quick way to judge if it has as many miles as the odometer claims is to look at the condition of the steering wheel. Something similar could be claimed about the area around a motorcycle’s ignition.
One peeve of mine are bikes that have the ignition area all scratched up from keys banging around. It looks bad, and it’s avoidable. Using cheap carbon fiber vinyl we’re gonna make a custom key scratch protector for motorcycles. This 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 650 (Z650) is today’s victim. Enjoy!

While one might think that music streaming services are sending offline audio collections the way of the dodo bird, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Having a well-groomed digital music library is one of the grandest pleasures and possessions any self-professed audiophile can have. There’s no need to speak about audio quality and bit-rate – that topic’s already been beaten to death. But we’re still left with one of the most important facets of anyone’s catalog – Album Artwork. If you’ve ever been a victim of the ‘Windows Media Player destroyed my high-resolution album artwork’ problem, you know how frustrating it is to lose years of accumulated art covers. Though finding album artwork is now easier than ever, automated tools are still far from perfect. If you want to guarantee the preservation of your album covers for years to come, your best bet is to make redundant copies of them. Here’s how to back up and restore your music library album artwork using MediaMonkey.

I’ve spent hundreds of hours pruning and perfecting my audio library. And there’s always been one issue that has driven me crazy since forever. For some reason, my high-resolution album art covers always got replaced by one or two low quality copies. After years cluelessly dealing with the issue, I finally found out the problem – Windows Media Player rewrites all high-definition album art with 200px and 75px copies! Even if you don’t use WMP! Thankfully, you can stop it from happening again. Here’s an album cover art problem fix using MediaMonkey.

Nothing sucks more than turning your ignition key…only for nothing to happen. Well, almost nothing. It goes head-to-head with having to repair a flat tire on the go. The best way to avoid a dead battery is to check its voltage every once in a while. There are a few ways to make that job a bit easier. One interesting option I’ve found recently is the JS-8T Battery Voltage Indicator. What makes it pretty unique is that it’s compatible with any battery chemistry, including Lithium and Lead-Acid. That makes it perfect for cars, motorcycles and RC devices alike. Plus, it sure beats having to dust-off your jumper cables.

I’m a stickler for motorcycle detailing, so I’ve spent a lot of time trying out different motorcycle cleaning products until I’ve found what I like best. Be it a bike wash shampoo or motorcycle wax, use them enough and you’ll develop a preference. While motorcycles don’t have all that much paintwork, they have more surface types and materials than many cars. Be it chrome, rubber, vinyl or plastic, you shouldn’t treat them all the same. That’s why here I’m going to go over how to clean a motorcycle for the best shine and longevity.
Keep reading to see how it matches your washing routine, or if you use the same motorcycle cleaning products.
